How it works

Set your criteria for the vehicles you're interested in and choose the sellers you want to engage with. Our automated filters and data-driven insights will do the heavy lifting for you.

NOTIFICATIONS

Once your filters are in place, there's no need to manually search for new stock. You'll receive notifications directly to your phone, speeding up your decision-making process.

VIEW VEHICLES

Browse the listings, complete with detailed information, condition reports, and up to 20 photographs. Seller ratings and data analytics offer added layers of trust and transparency.

TRADE

Vehicles are listed as either auction, minimum price or buy it now. 

Place your bid via the app and conclude your deal using the in-app messaging or call features.

Each successful transaction incurs a buyer's fee of £150 +VAT which is payable to MOTOM.

COMPLETE & REPORT

Details are exchanged between buyer and seller and you agree payment method and logistics.

The vehicle will be listed as sold and an email confirmation sent to both buyer and seller. Reporting is also available to both parties via the Control Centre.

Connect multiple users with a business account

For larger dealer groups or multi-site operations, our business account provides a centralised Control Centre, allowing you to oversee individual performance and gather comprehensive data for more strategic decision-making.

With a business account, admin users can view all activity for the dealer/group via the browser-based Control Centre.

MOTOM Control Centre

The MOTOM Control Centre is a web-based system, accessed via a normal web browser from any device.

It gives you control and performance information about your vehicle buying and selling activities.

So that you have appropriate governance and visibility, the MOTOM Control Centre provides details on all transactions, trading parties, prices and communications via the app. Where multiple users are working for the same organisation, it allows a management overview to monitor individual performance.

How do I get started?

Is the system difficult to use?

Not at all. It's very intuitive and easy to use.

You'll save time as, once your search filters are set up, the system will notify you when there's a match. It's proactive in matching buyers and sellers, making the whole trading process fast and simple for everyone.

Can I trade between dealerships if I am a part of a multi franchise group?

Yes, you can trade between dealers, dealer groups or wholesale traders.

Can I communicate with the seller by phone or via text? Will MOTOM provide this functionality?

Yes, we provide live in chat messaging with the ability to text or call.

How much does it cost?

A buyer’s fee of £150 + VAT applies to each successful transaction. 

Use of the MOTOM app and Control Centre is free, and there's no commitment, subscription, or cost to download the app. 

Listing and selling vehicles is also free.

How do I manage my trading records through MOTOM?

A record of all transactions and associated communications is stored within the user’s account and can be easily exported for record keeping and transparency around all transactions made.

How do I know I can trust the sellers on the app?

MOTOM includes a rating system which drives transparency. Dealer ratings give insights into new trading partners and drives a disciplined trading process.

Is MOTOM connected to any auction houses or retail groups?
